Our awards

Nobody likes a show-off, we get that. However, we are immensely proud of the awards and accreditations our awesome team have won here at GnewtCargo – environmental ones, freight ones, even entrepreneur ones. So far (take a deep breath) we’ve been selected as:

  • The Green Business of the Year in the Startups Awards 2011 (oh and we were one of the four businesses shortlisted for the overall Business of the Year);
  • A finalist in the Green Business Awards 2011;
  • One of the UK’s 100 most disruptive and entrepreneurial businesses in the Smarta 100 awards;
  • We’ve won the top gong in the Transport category at The 2011 Sustainable City Awards (City of London);
  • Highly commended in the Air Quality category of The 2011 Sustainable City Awards (City of London);
  • One of the Future 100 Young Entrepreneurs of the Year 2010;
  • Gold for environmental best practice at the Green Apple Awards 2010;

  • And we’re also part of the Mayor of London’s exclusive Electric 10 club with the likes of DHL, Royal Mail, TNT, M&S, UPS, Tesco, and Sainsbury’s.

We launched in 2009 with Office Depot, a global supplier of office products and services. They’re a fantastically forward-thinking company happy to work with us to supercharge our idea.

The Crown Estate

The Crown Estate is a diverse property business tasked by Parliament with enhancing the value of the property portfolio they manage and generating a profit for the nation. Sustainability is integral to their business. We’re working with The Crown Estate and ARUP on an exciting project to ‘green’ Regent Street and the surrounding area.

Viking Direct

Viking is part of Office Depot and we actually get our office supplies from them. We like them a lot, plus they’ve got a cool new logo with reams of funky doodles as part of their brand image. They support start-ups through backing things like smarta.

ARUP

ARUP offer a broad range of professional services and we’re working with them to better shape the future of our cities.

TNT

TNT are a can-do, forward-thinking logistics company who have come aboard with us, demonstrating their long-standing commitment to protecting the environment. We’re very happy to be able to provide our supercharged last-mile logistics service to them.

With our Cargocycles and Electric Vans, we’re driving down the impact of ‘last mile’ delivery in the city.
