This is the big one! Winner of the Startups Green Business of the Year 2011

So this is huge…..At the Kensington Roof Gardens on December 2nd, we were announced as the Startups Green Business of the Year 2011!  Massive.  Oh, and did we mention that we were in the final 4 selected as the overall Business of the Year!  What an accolade…..The Startups Awards highlight the importance of differentiating yourself from the competition in order to stand out from the crowd.

Britain’s Biggest Climate Change Campaign – 12 to 18 March 2012

Climate Week is a supercharged national campaign to inspire a new wave of action on climate change. It culminates in thousands of events and activities, planned by organisations from every part of society. Showcasing real, practical ways to combat climate change, the campaign aims to renew our ambition to create a more sustainable, low-carbon future.

Climate Week is backed by every part of society – from the Prime Minister to Paul McCartney, the NHS to the National Trust, the TUC to the CBI, Girlguiding UK to the National Association of Head Teachers. During the first Climate Week in 2011 over 3,000 events were attended by half a million people across the UK.

We’re a smarta 100 winner!

Yes it’s official, we’re one of the smartest 100 businesses of 2011.  We were selected from loads of businesses to represent the final 100 of the UK’s savviest, enterprising, most disruptive small businesses.  We’ve also been named in the top 5 businesses for people category, which we’re immensely proud of!  Kudos to the guys for all their hard work!

Always the bridesmaid never the bride…

Gnewt Cargo once again didn’t win but were commended in the Private Sector Fleet (<250 vehicles) of the Year category of the Greenfleet Awards this time in October 2011.  Sam Clarke attended the event at Twickenham Rugby Stadium and had a great time listening to Alistair McGowan’s impressions.
